Trader Vic’s Happy Hour at The Beverly Hilton
Get your “tiki” on at Trader Vic’s Lounge at The Beverly Hilton each and every day from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Enjoy special Happy Hour libation offerings or half off the Trader Vic’s Tidbits menu which includes tantalizing offerings like BBQ Pork Spareribs, Crab Rangoon and Crispy Coconut Crusted Prawns. Maison 140 Jazz Nights
This Jazz Nights series features one of Los Angeles’ hottest, local musical talents, Matthew Haze, who has recently worked with Lady Gaga, Solange Knowles and Katharine McPhee. Haze will perform weekly throughout the summer with various guest singers, while silent French films set the perfect backdrop for the evening. Gather friends each Wednesday (7 – 9:30 pm) at Maison 140’s Bar Noir for beer, wine and spirits start at $7 and specialty cocktails including the French Kiss Martini. Maison 140’s Bar Noir, 140 S. Happy Hours and Even Happier Wednesdays at Mosaic Hotel
During the summer from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, enjoy $5 - $7 drink and food specials poolside at Mosaic Hotel. Want more? Take advantage of barbeque specials and happy hour prices each Wednesday all evening long (beginning at 5:00 pm) from July through September. During July, it’s Margarita Hills night on Wednesdays, featuring Armando’s special Mosaic Margaritas ($7) and Carne Asada tacos ($5/plate), grilled poolside by the chef. Caffé Roma Happy Hour
Ready to unwind after an arduous day at the office? Step into Caffé Roma where you’ll enjoy 51% off cocktails, beer and wine and $5 appetizers from 3:00 – 8:00 pm each day. Be assured – the drinks are mixed, using only top-shelf liquors – and $5 will let you choose from a variety of Italian selections including a small pizza, meatballs with tomato sauce and peas, oven-baked penne with eggplant, smoked fish, grilled octopus or salad-topped beef carpaccio. Cooking Classes
Learn the latest cooking techniques as you prepare mouthwatering recipes. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. Classes are $55 per person; 10 to 14 people per class. Pre-pay to reserve. Williams-Sonoma, 339 N. Beverly Drive; (310) 274-9127, or visit the store.

Tea Tasting Classes
Each Saturday and Sunday, American Tea Room hosts its signature High Tea at its elegant tea emporium on Canon Drive. The High Tea menu features selections by celebrated chef Valerie Gordon, known as one of the finest artisan chocolatiers in the country. The experience includes your choice from over 200 gourmet loose leaf teas accompanied by a selection of three tea sandwiches all served on artisan bread – potential selections may include curried chicken with muscat grape, breakfast radish butter and lemon confit, or crab salad with mint and lime. In addition to this, guests are treated to several sweet confections which may include cème fraiche scones accompanied by Valerie Confections’ hand-crafted jams and marmalades; a refined and refreshing lemon curd tartlet; American Tea Room signature Earl Grey petit fours; wondrous shortbread cookies dusted in Matcha Green Tea Powder, and an assortment of Valerie’s signature chocolates. (Menus change seasonally and incorporate locally grown sustainable products and locally crafted chocolates and confections.) The cost per person is $50. Wine and Cheese Tasting
